Baby naming ceremonies

Welcome to a celebration of new beginnings.

As a celebrant, I specialise in creating heartfelt and memorable baby naming ceremonies that honour your child’s arrival and celebrate their unique place in your family.

A baby naming ceremony is a beautiful way to officially welcome your little one into the world, surrounded by love and support from family and friends. It is an alternative to a traditional christening, focusing on your values, beliefs, and wishes for your child’s future. As a FuturFaith Minister, FuturFaith represents an inclusive approach that embraces all faiths, mixed faiths, semi faith and or no faith and this is reflected in each ceremony.

I will work closely with you to design a personalised ceremony that reflects your family’s story, culture, and values. Your ceremony will include special readings, music and symbolic rituals such as lighting candles, planting a tree, or a sand blending ceremony.

Suggestions for poems, quotes, or traditions to make the day truly memorable. Personalised mementos to commemorate the occasion.

Opportunities for parents, grandparents, siblings, and chosen guide-parents or mentors to participate.

I am passionate about creating ceremonies that are as unique as your family. Whether you prefer a formal event or a casual gathering, I ensure every detail is handled with care and professionalism.

Every family has its own story, and I am here to help you tell it. Together, we’ll create a ceremony that is joyful, meaningful, and cherished for years to come.

Rose petal ceremony

You could use baby's first swaddling blanket, on it you would place rose petals.

Family/guests come forward and take a rose petal and tell us your relationship with baby. Make a wish, blessing or good intention and place rose petal in water bowl. The water in this bowl now carries the essence of these rose petals and is imbued with your positive thoughts and heartfelt messages. We will then bless baby’s head and heart with the rose petal water. In this act we are bestowing upon baby symbolically all of your good will and tributes.
